I know we have been very quiet on the blog lately but it’s just been so busy and not enough time in the day. We have a lot of things in the pipeline for the New Year and are starting to get very excited!

Last month we held a charity fundraiser to raise money for a fantastic cause ‘The Wedding Wishing Well Foundation’ who assist those who are terminally ill to get married. As head of the fundraising team for North and Mid Wales we decided to hold a Zumbathon at the Royal British Legion in Llandrindod Wells.

Wow! What a turnout it was! Over 50 people turned up to dance for 4 hours non-stop. The Zumbathon instructors Jody Price, Lucy Wills and Julie Harding were no less than amazing as they kept up everyone’s spirits and energy.

We also had a raffle where prizes were kindly donated by the Brynafon Hotel in Rhayader, Jules Wine Bar in Llandrindod Wells, the Royal British Legion, Lori Ann Buckler of Buckler Photography and Sian Bowman. We even had a ‘guess the weight of the cake competition’ which was made especially for the event by Penny Lowe of Top Tier Cakes by Penny.

Corporate Fun kindly donated a bouncy castle for the day which the children thoroughly enjoyed and Karlene Nickson as well as taking part in the Zumbathon, helped with the children’s face-painting.

The event was a great success and most importantly everyone had fun in the process. We managed to raise an amazing £355.90 for The Wedding Wishing Well Foundation. To find out more about the charity, please visit their website www.weddingwishingwell.org.uk
